Cavs interested in bringing back Derrick WIlliams

The Cleveland Cavaliers have an interest in re-signing free agent forward Derrick Williams.  After signing with Cleveland midway through the 2016/2017 season, Williams averaged 6.2 points and 2.3 rebounds in 25 games.  He signed two 10-day contracts before he eventually signed for the rest of the season after the second 10-day expired.  Williams played a key role after joining the Cavs and brought high energy off of the bench until falling out of favor with coach Tyronn Lue.   Williams playing time was cut drastically down the stretch and he was relegated to garbage time minutes in the postseason.  When on the floor Williams showed the ability to play solid wing defense and surprising three point range shooting 40% from deep with Cleveland.  The Cavs front office had hoped there would not be much interest in Williams and that he could fall back into their lap for the league minimum.  It appears like this may be playing out just as the Cavs had hoped that it would.
